Privacy Policy

This site exists to share Zvi Ish-Shalom's work and to let you receive the free Light Code transmissions by email. It collects as little as possible, and never sells or rents what it collects.

What is collected

• Your email address, when you enter it to receive the transmissions or the weekly essay.
• A source tag recording which page you signed up from, so we know which doors people come through.
• Basic, aggregate traffic data that the hosting provider records to keep the site running.
• Usage data about how you move through the site and use the audio player, including pages and sections viewed, signup steps, links used, the recording and collection played, playback progress, and accumulated listening time.

No accounts, no passwords, and no payment details are handled on this site. Purchases and sessions happen on their own platforms (zvi.app and the community), each with its own privacy terms.

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors interact with this site so we can improve it. Google Analytics sets cookies such as _ga and _ga_* that assign your browser an anonymous identifier and record activity such as pages viewed, time on page, signup steps, and how you interact with the audio player. This data is aggregated and is not used to identify you personally. Email addresses, library access tokens, and community invitation tokens are not sent in analytics events.

We also use Vercel Web Analytics to measure aggregate traffic, page views, and selected site interactions. It is cookieless and does not collect personally identifiable information.

A first-party cookie remembers that you have access to the library. It is necessary for the library to work and does not track you across other websites.

You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or by blocking or deleting cookies in your browser settings. For more information on how Google uses data, see Google's Privacy Policy.

How it is used

• To send you the transmissions and the essays you asked for.
• To understand, in aggregate, how people find and move through this work.

Your email is stored with our email provider, which processes it on our behalf. We do not sell, rent, or trade your information.

Your choices

Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and one click removes you for good. To ask what we hold about you, or to have it deleted, write to kedumah@gmail.com and we will take care of it.
